Description

What is ultraviolet light?

Ultraviolet light is part of the light spectrum which is classified into three wavelength ranges:

  • UV-C, from 100 nanometers (nm) to 280nm
  • UV-B, from 280nm to 315 nm
  • UV-A, from 315 nm to 400 nm

What is germicidal ultraviolet?

UV-C light is germicidal – i.e., it deactivates the DNA of bacteria, virus and other pathogens and this destroys their ability to multiply and cause disease.

Unlike many UVA air purifiers on the market, Cyclo UV air purifiers work with UVC light.

Main Features

Talk about the technology that helps improve in-home air quality ultraviolet (UV) treatments:

  • Multiple studies show that UV rays reduce pollutants by up to 99,7%.
  • Shortwave UV rays are absorbed by the DNA of microorganisms and destroy their structure. Living cells are deactivated and can no longer reproduce, rendering them harmless.
  • There are several types of UV light. UVC rays have the shortest wavelengths (190 to 290 nm) and are safe for humans.
  • UVA and UVB rays have longer wavelengths (315 to 400 nm), making them less effective against bacteria and more harmful to humans. **
